Janathon: Day 2

While we were dating, my husband and I went to the movie Waitress, a very good and sweet movie. The story revolves around a woman in an abusively controlling relationship, who is gradually saving enough money to run away from her husband. One night, in a moment of unguarded drunkenness, she lets down her defenses and ends up pregnant. All the while resenting the baby, she determines to keep it and starts writing it letters, one of which begins, "Dear damn baby."

That's how I feel every morning at about 4, when I wake up and can't fall back asleep for hours on end. This has never, ever happened to me before, so it must be the dear damn baby's fault. All of this is a roundabout way to say that I kind of pooped out on Janathon today. No run, but a longish walk. And probably some prenatal yoga this evening.

And then, I hope, bed at like 8 tonight and sleep, sleep, sleep.

Today's "workout":
Walk to Wanstead and back, about 40 minutes and 2.5 miles.

Although, I do have to say, I'd rather wake up at 4 every morning than have that horrible "morning" sickness again. At least this is preparing me for the exhaustion of parenthood a little.
